Primary Purpose and Function

The Inventory Account Manager (IAM) is an integral member of the Inventory Operations team, responsible for the delivery of services to our customers. Delivery of services includes, but are not limited to, securing the renewal contract through inventory report delivery – managing all aspects of complex projects from inception to conclusion. The Inventory Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, operating as the lead point of contact for the operational delivery to assigned accounts. The Inventory Account Manager will work closely with a cross-functional internal team by supporting the delivery of inventory services to the customer. Ultimately, you will contribute to establishing a well-defined service delivery process and to our long-term business growth.

Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Inventory Account Management, the Inventory Account Manager also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within Inventory Services.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and retain existing account renewal revenue while also developing new business opportunities with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement
  • Build, maintain, and constantly evaluate (survey) strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Collaborate with sales organization to identify and grow opportunities
  • In collaboration with Inventory Services Management, assist in the resolution of client requests or service issues
  • Work with the Director, Inventory Operations, and Inventory Field Managers to establish procedures in providing service both to clients and fellow Syft Associates
  • Adhere to and comply with established procedures regarding Salesforce, the Syft Client Portal, and any additional procedures
  • Work to create a standard project plan for inventories
  • Serves as the point of contact on assigned inventory projects; performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as assembling, coordinating, and managing projects
  • Facilitates and troubleshoots the delivery of inventory services both in the onsite count portion of the project as well as in the inventory valuation production and quality assurance portion of the project
  • Provides highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to department management and personnel
  • Available for inquires during and after business hours including evenings and weekends
  • Will be required to carry a company cell phone and expected to respond to communications in a timely manner
  • Participates in various project pre-planning/post-mortem meetings
  • Establishes and maintains communications with clients as well as internal teams
  • Assists in developing departmental plans, goals, objectives, and procedures
  • Coordinates inventory schedules of staff with Field Operations Management
  • Work with to document project flow/delivery for inventory accounts
  • Keeps management informed of all activity, including timely delivery of services to clients and preparation of reports
  • Assists in the finalization of inventory customers’ service invoices
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Needed for the Job

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant experience
  • Previous experience in project management, customer service, or account management role preferred
  • Healthcare supply chain experience desirable but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
  • Energetic personality; a positive force within a team
  • Problem-solving oriented, with a constant desire to improve and achieve higher grounds
  • Attention to detail, proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • General office technology skills required (Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel,, smartphone, Zoom)

  • Working relationships with Inventory Field Operations, Production/Quality Assurance, SAAS Account Management, Sales, and Professional Services

Physical Demands

  • Position will work out of the Syft Tampa, Florida office
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Little or no travel expected with this position
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

The Inventory Account Manager will be obligated to comply with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to any Customer Business Associate Agreements that the company may enter into, in addition to complying with other Human Resources requirements.  In discharging the duties of this position, the Inventory Account Manager may encounter confidential patient identifiable electronic health information and will be obligated to maintain the confidentiality of this information and report any breach immediately to the proper hospital authorities.
