We’re more invested in YOUR future than ever before. For this reason, we excitedly share that we are now Syft®.

What’s in a Name

To most, sift means to examine something thoroughly and isolate what’s important. To us, Syft means much more. Syft implies our ability to help hospitals find solutions in an enormous sea of inventory and data.

The Whole is Greater Than the Sum

When it comes to supply chain management, a holistic approach is best. Therein lies the strength of the Syft Synergy® platform. Unlike point solutions that provide features and functions for a specific set of problems, Syft Synergy is a singular, enterprise platform that aligns clinical and business optimization goals across the entire health system.

Why Y?

Notice the spelling with a “Y” and not an “I” and the slight tilt at the bottom of the “Y”. This is a visual representation of a funnel further illustrating our ability to sift through the hospital’s massive amounts of inventory and create meaningful and actionable analytics from it.

Our History

  1. 1999 Management Health Solutions (MHS) is founded as a hospital inventory valuation services company.
  2. 2008 MHS adds Master Data Management services to its portfolio to create and maintain client data assets.
  3. 2010 MHS acquires AtPar for its cutting-edge @Par supply chain automation software. MHS acquires Hospital Inventories Specialists, Inc. and becomes one of the largest providers of physical inventory valuation services in the U.S.
  4. 2017 MHS expands its software offerings to include clinical applications.
  5. 2019 With an evolving portfolio of software and services, MHS rebrands as Syft® and introduces its new platform solution, Syft Synergy®.
  6. 2019 Syft celebrates its 20-year anniversary and continues to grow at a rapid pace.

Our Leaders

Todd Plesko Chief Executive Officer

Todd Plesko brings deep entrepreneurial and executive experience, having founded and led several successful healthcare technology companies. As CEO of triPRACTIX, he grew the business to become one of the nation’s largest GE Centricity™ resellers. He then founded and was Chairman and CEO of Extension Healthcare, a spin out of triPRACTIX. Extension provided over 270 hospital customers with a robust clinical integration and caregiver communications solution. The company was acquired by Vocera Communications in 2016, where Mr. Plesko served as Vice President of Product Strategy, guiding all aspects of product management, development, and direction for Vocera’s industry-leading clinical communications platform. Previous experience also includes being Chief Information Officer at a large, multi-site healthcare provider organization.

Mr. Plesko holds a BA from Central Michigan University and an MBA from Indiana Institute of Technology.

Brian Campbell President & Chief Operating Officer

With more than 20 years of operational, technical and sales expertise in the application services and healthcare industries, Brian Campbell is a proven leader and experienced problem solver essential for today’s technology-driven companies. Mr. Campbell’s most recent endeavors resulted in the latest and ongoing growth of Syft, as well as its further expansion into a multi-national with the establishment of an India based subsidiary. Under Mr. Campbell’s leadership, Syft achieved significant operational savings and efficiencies while solidifying its current technology strategy.

Prior to joining Syft, Mr. Campbell was Vice President of IntellaKey, an ASP-based marketing automation software company. There, he led multidisciplinary teams that included Client Operations, Sales, Data Services, and Product Development.

He holds degrees in chemistry and biology from the University of Rochester.

Tim Ledwick Chief Financial Officer

Tim Ledwick brings three decades of experience as a finance officer, including CFO roles in both public and private companies. His specialized skills span the capital markets, IPO activities, spinoffs & mergers and acquisitions in both domestic and international markets. Mr. Ledwick has broad experience in meeting complex regulatory requirements and implementing fiscal controls as part of senior management with companies such as Dictaphone Corp., a $250 million healthcare software and call recording technology company, Cityscape Financial Corp. and the GTE Corp.

A certified public accountant, he holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Fairfield University and an undergraduate degree from George Washington University.

Kishore Bala Chief Technology Officer

Kishore Bala is an accomplished technology professional with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare supply chain, manufacturing, and finance verticals. Known for achieving business goals, he offers a unique blend of healthcare domain expertise, technology experience, executive acumen, sales and marketing experience, application development, and application implementation experience. Mr. Bala has helped develop the Syft supply chain management platform with substantial improvement to business solution offerings at Syft.

Kishore was one of the principals of AtPar, Inc., which Syft acquired in 2010, and has been instrumental in building AtPar’s product portfolio. He has extensive subject matter expertise working with some of the leading healthcare information systems and ERP/materials management systems like PeopleSoft, Lawson, Oracle, McKesson Pathways Materials Management, and Meditech. He also has extensive subject matter expertise in some of the leading and upcoming mobile technologies, standards like HL7, GS1, HBICC, and UDI, and HIPAA regulations, e-Pedigree requirements, etc.

Kishore holds an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, an engineering degree from India, and a diploma in database technologies.

Marita Parks Chief Nursing Officer

Marita Parks is a strategically oriented and experienced senior healthcare leader with strong consultative, communication and leadership skills. She has a proven ability to build and lead dynamic clinical/operational teams that develop innovative solutions to deliver quantifiable financial, operational and clinical improvements in healthcare settings. Her experience spans working for both provider and supplier organizations in senior management positions, providing a unique perspective and understanding of issues from all sides of the continuum of care. One of her more recent endeavors in clinical practice includes the role of VP Performance Consulting at Mercy Health System based at the corporate office in St. Louis, MO. From a supplier perspective, Marita held various leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies including Cardinal Health and Stryker. Additionally, Marita lead the healthcare team at AORN which optimized partnerships and worked with business line leaders to identify products and services to meet customer needs and produce revenue/profitability and other measurable results aligned with AORN’s overall objectives.

She is a Registered Nurse with a diploma from CS Wilson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Johnson City, New York, holds a bachelor’s degree in Professional Arts from St. Joseph’s College in North Windham, Maine and a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA.

Luke Krouse Vice President, Professional Services

Luke Krouse is a proven leader with extensive management experience leading all aspects of Professional Services. Luke has over 15 years of healthcare experience that range from both technical and clinical experience. With his years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, Luke brings a holistic vision to make a positive and lasting impact on healthcare delivery. Luke joined Syft with the primary focus of improving operational processes and procedures.

Prior to joining Syft, Luke was the Director of Implementation Engineers at Extension Healthcare where he developed strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations. In addition, Luke worked to develop, monitor and administer key performance indicators to maintain efficient, quality services.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Purdue University.

Srinivas Repala Vice President, Software Development & Managing Director

Srinivas Repala is a skilled technology professional with over 20 years of IT experience in mobile technologies, cross platform mobile development, internet/intranet technologies, client/server, system analysis, design, data modeling, data analytics, relational database management systems and object-oriented programming concepts. He has executed several mobile, internet and intranet projects which involved product design, development and implementation. He has extensive knowledge on various hospital MMIS systems which include PeopleSoft, Lawson, Oracle applications, Meditech, Pathways, GEAC systems and HL7, GS1, HIBCC, ICBBA standards, HIPAA regulations. His expertise across the life cycle of product development from requirements, design, development, testing, continuous integration, implementation and project management has helped Syft to become market leader in Healthcare Supply Chain automation.

As one of the Principals of AtPar, Inc., he was central to the development of the AtPar product portfolio. He has comprehensive knowledge in integrating with some of the leading Healthcare Information Systems and ERP/Materials Management Systems. He holds a master’s degree in Engineering.

Miriam Achour Vice President, Strategic Alliances

Miriam Achour has over 16 years as an established leader in understanding and identifying business opportunities in the healthcare industry. Ms. Achour will be overseeing all business relationships, partnerships and alliances for the organization for both commercial and technical relationships, supporting the direct sales channel of Syft.

Prior to joining Syft, she was Director of Surgical Business Development with HCA. In her role with HCA, she was instrumental in establishing a new kidney and liver transplant program in a heavily competitive market as well as developing multiple surgical service lines. Ms. Achour’s strong clinical and strategic background has been critical in growing key services, assessing financial impact and forecasting future opportunities. Her professional experience required strong collaboration with executive leaders and medical providers to enhance company growth.

Ms. Achour lives in Tampa, FL where she earned her BA in psychology from the University of South Florida and a MS from Purdue Global in Clinical Psychology.

Kevin Kiley Vice President, Finance and Human Resources

Kevin Kiley brings over thirty years of finance, operational and human resources experience to Syft. Mr. Kiley has provided financial leadership within large organizations, as well as venture-backed entrepreneurial companies, including Gartner, Tomy America, Technology Marketing Corporation and CentrPort.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport. In addition, he has served on many elected boards in the town of Fairfield, CT, including the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Finance.

Whitney St. Pierre Vice President, Marketing

Whitney St. Pierre has 17 years’ experience fulfilling various marketing leadership roles in the technology industry. In her current role as Vice President of Marketing, Whitney has oversight of all aspects of marketing including strategy, branding, product marketing, sales enablement, and communications to name a few.

Prior to joining Syft, Whitney was the Director of Marketing for Extension Healthcare. During her 8 years there, she was instrumental in a major rebranding initiative that helped to propel the company’s growth. Having become the leader in the clinical communication and collaboration market, Extension Healthcare was acquired by Vocera Communications in 2016.

Whitney earned a BS from Auburn University in 2001 with a concentration on business and marketing. She now lives in Nashville, TN with her husband and two children and is an accomplished artist.

Steven Herz Vice President, Product

Steve Herz is a proven product leader focused on driving product vision, strategy and roadmap for mutual client, company value and growth. Steve focuses on collaboration between customer and company and internal execution teams to deliver successful strategic, operational, and roadmap results.

Steve comes to Syft from SOC Telemed where, as VP of Product, he led strategy, roadmap, and execution of specialty telemedicine clinical and technology services delivery to over 450 health systems and hospitals. Prior to his work with SOC Telemed, Mr. Herz held multiple leadership positions with Quest Diagnostics where he led strategic planning and execution of Quest’s health IT products division and delivery of services to hospitals, health systems, payers and ambulatory providers. Additionally, Mr. Herz launched and lead the growth of Exostar’s Healthcare cyber security and identity management government and private sector divisions.

Mr. Herz holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a MS in Engineering from the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign.
